Comment

Chinese based G’Five mobiles have planned to launch their Android powered Smartphones and Tablets in India soon. The brand is well known for its cheap low end mobile phones. The company would launch entry level and mid-range Android powered mobiles. The phones would be powered by Android 2.1 a.k.a Éclair in order to make it cost lower.

In an interview with The Mobile Indian, Jaideep Chopra, vice president, G’Five, said,

“We will enter the Android smartphone space with multiple devices with different hardware options, but all phones will be based on Android 2.1 version.”

Companies like Micromax and Spice have already launched Android mobiles in India and being powered by Éclair,G’Five would not be able to compete with their competitors as well as giants like LG,Samsung or others.

Regarding tablets,it is expected to be powered by an 800Mhz processor with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen and is expected to cost around 13,000.
