Following the Optimus 2X ,Korean company LG has officially announced its next member of the optimus series,The Optimus 3D which features a Tri-Dual configuration.Tri-Dual signifies dual-core, dual-channel, and dual-memory.
The phone was revealed earlier at the Mobile World Congress this year.The phone is said to be more powerful than Optimus 2X and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The phone has the ability to deliver 3D content without any need for glasses with its Sterioscopic 3D display.The phone has a 4.3 inch display that can deliver High resolutions of 1080p in 2D and 720p in 3D.It also offers real-time conversion of 2D content into 3D.The phone is DLNA certified, and has an HDMI port.The phone will also have a 3D augmented reality browser developed in collaboration with Wikitude.
There is no much information delivered about the hardware but,it is expected that the device would be powered by a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and supported by a PowerVR SGX540 GPU.
The phone would first hit the European market and would be available in 60 markets around the world in further weeks.
