Sony Ericsson announces its Android powered W8 Walkman phone

Sony Ericsson , today announced its new Android 2.2 powered Walkman phone named W8,which looks almost similar to Sony’s Xperia X8.This newly proposed phone will sport a 3-inch touch screen,600 Mhz Processor,3.2 Mega pixel Camera ,Phone memory up to 128MB / MicroSD™ support (up to 16 GB).It works on GSM network supporting GPRS and EDGE and also on 3G networks.As the phone is not equipped with a front facing camera,video calls are not possible.This sure is a negative point to note.

The customisable corner buttons,Sony Ericcson’s Timescape interface,Walkman,Social integration and GPS are some highlights the phone has.The phone supports Wi-fi,and Bluetooth as well.Auto rotate screen will allow you to work vertically or horizontally with your phone.Android powered,the phone can run all compatible apps from the Android market.Communicatios Apps like Twitter,Facebook and Gtalk are pre-installed.

Though the date of release is not specified for now,the phone will be available in three colours Azure,Orange and Red and will initially be available in Asian countries including India.

It not work with android 2.2. It's any body help me up it to verision 2.2 or higher

It looks exactly like Xperia X8! Except its using Froyo 2.2... SE should use different design and update to Gingerbread to improve their smartphone sales.
