Blackberry messenger (BBM) to show up on Windows, may be for OS X too

There was a good news at the BlackBerry Jam Asia 2013 held in Hong Kong. The company revealed its BBM service on Microsoft’s Windows platform. The company also hints that there may be a release for the Apple’s OS X too.But there is no word of the date when we could possibly get this on our PCs.

Having already made its move on Android and iOS, the BBM is entering the desktop sector making a great step to the most used OS, Windows. According to the sources the BBM for windows is not a standalone program which runs on your desktop. But a desktop mirror of your BBM on your smartphone just like a bridge to your BBM on your PlayBook.

This tends not to be a fully functional program unless you have the BBM app on your smartphone connected to this desktop client. To use BBM on your PC you will have to connect your device to the computer via Wi-Fi. This move make cross-platform messaging possible on BBM and this would work great against the current competing messaging services which are mobile only.
