What could you expect from Samsung Galaxy S4? A round up on the buzz


The most anticipated device of 2013, Samsung Galaxy S4 is going to be unveiled in the next few weeks. After taking over the world to such great heights with the launch of Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3, the bar has already gone up very high. The excessive popularity and demand of S3 has created the highest buzz globally. But, what can we expect from the next flagship device from the South Korean company? Browse the internet and you’ll undoubtedly find a handful of features and rumors which are just being confirmed.  Here is a list of features which are speculated to be present on the Galaxy S4.

Samsung Galaxy S4 – Screen

Rumors in circulation are that Samsung has decided to for a bigger display for S4, it is said to sport a screen of 5inches, Full HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolutions and a high pixel density of 441ppi. Hopefully this would be done without increasing the size of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy S4 – Processor & Operating System

The biggest expectation from S4 is with its processor. It is expected to launch the world’s first Exynos 5450 chipset based quad-core 2 Cortex A15 mobile CPU with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz. Doesn’t it sound awesome? Samsung aims to set a new benchmark for its competitors. The phone is supposedly decided to run on the new Android version 4.2.1 along with the next generation of Touch Wiz UI for enhanced display and performance. Other rumors drafted are that the device will run off a new operating system known as Tizen, simply Samsung has been using it on other devices. More possibly the company is bringing S4 with a latest Android version of Google, the Key Lime Pie. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. It will follow the footsteps of Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 and go for wireless charging.

Improved Eye and Facial Recognition

The Smart Stay Technology of Samsung S3 has already created a privacy satisfaction amongst the Samsung users. With S4, Samsung offers its user with Eye Scroll and Eye Pause along the lines. It is also expected that the S4 will feature touch less gestures for the better screen navigation.

Samsung Galaxy S4 – Camera

As per a snap shown on Picasa, a picture captured from S4 hints that the phone has at least a camera of 10MP. However, hopes are that it may increase to 13 MP. The photos are expected to be 100% well framed and high in quality.

Samsung Galaxy S4 – Graphics

For avid gamers and movie lovers, Samsung is expected to provide the Mali – 450 MP GPU. With an improved battery power and a bigger display, the Samsung S4 will give brighter image and sharper graphics.

No Home Buttons

It is expected that Samsung will increase the size of the screen by cutting of the Home buttons. A leaked snap shows that the S4 is evidently lacking a home key.

Surprises from Samsung

With the March release, the S4 is expected to surprise Samsung fanatics. There won’t be any surprises if the device appears for the Mobile World Congress which commences on 25th February or else Samsung might choose to have grand launch event for the S4 separately.

Price of the Samsung Galaxy S4

As expected, S4 suspected price is expected to be as much as S3, when the device was launched back in May, last year. The Galaxy S4 price in India is expected to be around INR 40, 000. It faces a tough competition from LG-Google’s Nexus 4, which will force Samsung to lower its price.

Why is Samsung launching Galaxy S4 when the market is still dominated by S3?

Samsung decided to unveil the next Generation Galaxy S4 at the most exciting “Unpacked Event” in the coming April. This shows that these rumors are valid. The phone will release exactly after a one full year after the launch of Galaxy S3. Samsung has predicted that the sale of S4 will be around 10 million units every month.

With so many expectations created by the users, it is a big question mark in every body’s mind to see whether Samsung fulfills the expectations of its fans or is there a twist waiting to happen. We’ll find out soon.
