Comment

Google has decided to retire the popular brands Blogger and Picassa.Google intends to rename all non-Google name brands. This is a step to bring all google services under an unified brand name, for the  public launch of its Social network google+ .

All google services would be renamed as Google products, Mashable report says.Google is not closing its Blogger and Picasa ,but they would experience a change in the name. Blogger would be renamed as Google Blogs and Picasa as Google Photos.YouTube will not suffer a name change.

This name change will take place in a month or a half more. The Google+ will also be available to the public around the same time ,that is, on or before 31st of July.

Google , after the launch of plus, would delete all existing private profiles.Instead Google wants people to use the Circles feature to secure their privacy.

I think Google.com taking this decision because of Google+ having huge success in the world. I am not saying that Blogger and Picassa are not succeed. But this is what i thinking. :)
