Escaping from the virtual social media, the concept of like has penetrated our real life too. I bet that you would have thought to “give a Like” in real environment. We could see friendly conversations that say Like for what a person has said. The like button is a facebook feature seen more times a day than the website. The like button is one major source of organic traffic for most blogs and it is what gets a content viral on the web.
From the advent of Like button, we haven’t seen much redesign of it other than the rectangle enclosing the text and icon. But now, a relatively larger change over of the button is done. The “Thumb” is all gone. The “f” logo takes its place on the Like button while the text remains in place and all is enclosed within a solid blue rectangle. The redesign is to target better appearance of the button on high resolution screens.
The button is not yet widely seen on websites but will be rolling out soon and will require no action from the websites using it.The new button will promptly take its place replacing the old one. The send button will now be replaced by the share button. It comes in different forms and the variations can be seen below.
What is your opinion on the new buttons? Do you “Like” it?
