Facebook’s new Subscribe button allows one to follow an unknown person’s public feed

Facebook is about to roll out a new feature called Subscribe which would allow any one to subscribe to a person’s public wall posts or feeds. This feature has not been out yet and would be seen on profile pages in the days to come.

This feature is similar to Twitter’s follow and Adding a person to your circle who hasn’t done back the same to you in Google+.

Also now you can control what you see from your friend on the stream. For example a frien of you may use several Apps on facebook and your stream may be flooded with the updates from his app. This can be avoided by choosing what you see from your friends. You can choose between the options below,

  • All updates: Everything your friend posts
  • Most updates: The amount you’d normally see
  • Important updates only: Just highlights, like a new job or move
You now do not need to wait for a person or VIP to accept your friend request.Just follow their Public posts.
If you want to allow others to subscribe to you Opt in now by going to the Subscriptions page! Once you enable subscriptions, you can manage your subscriptions form the Subscribers Tab .
So once the Subscriptions are enabled, Subscribe to me @ fb.com/cvtharun
What do you think of this new feature? Share your thoughts in comments…
